"Our Loving Earthly Father"
Mr A.T Nainan came into this earthly world on 17th March 1927. He was born in Anicad to Mr. A.V Thomas and Mrs. Chinnamma Thomas. Mr A.T Nainan had two brothers and two sisters. His elder brother Rev AT George left for his Heavenly abode in 1975. A younger sister Mrs. Kunjunjamma Korula w/o Rev N V Korula left to join the LORD in 1982. Mr. Nainan's remaining siblings are his brother Mr. A.T Thomas and sister Mrs. Rachel Joseph. Mr A.T Nainan was brought up to know and love his saviour Jesus with whom he is now.

Mr. Nainan struggled hard in his younger days. His story, was a story from "rags to riches". At a tender age of 15 he took up a job in the military. This adventure was to earn money for his family and educate his siblings. Following his military service he took up his first civil employment in Bombay at Publicity Society of India. It was during this period Mr. Nainan received the greatest gift of his life, Mrs. Susan Nainan whom he married in 1954. He then commenced another employment at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan. After having learnt the "tricks of the trade" he ventured into his own business with two other business partners, Mr. N S Mani and Mr. K Venugopal. Mr. Nainan's first entrepreneurial venture was Advertising Media Services.

Mr Nainan and the two business partners then moved their head quarters to Coimbatore in the late 1960's. They then acquired a pharmaceutical distributorship, DSV & Sons. The successful business partnership with Mr. N S Mani and Mr. K Venugopal for more than 40 years only goes to show his ability to get along with others. That business partnership became a personal friendship and lasted till the very end.

Mrs. and Mr. Nainan were blessed with two sons who both became doctors. The eldest Dr. A. N. Thomas is a Consultant Urologist in Kannur and the younger Dr. George Ampat is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon in the United Kingdom.

Though Mr. Nainan had no formal education beyond school he managed to educate both his children as super speciality doctors. This shows his commitment to education and his excellent skills at parenting and inspiring his children.

Mr. Nainan was one of the key persons involved in the creation of the CSI Malayalam congregation at Coimbatore and the All Saints CSI Malayalam Church. Mr. Nainan was instrumental in also purchasing a plot of burial land for the church. He specifically requested to be laid to rest in that land.

Mr. Nainan was able to interact with people from all walks of life and also across generations. He will be sorely missed by both the young and the old.

Mrs. Susen Nainan describes her husband as the most caring, thougthful and hardworking person she has ever known.

Mr. Nainan's children describe him as a loving father who would go to any extremes for the benefit of his children. He was indeed an inspiring Dad
