PGI Chandigarh UK Alumni Meet

26th September 2009 at Southport

The 2009 PGI MER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India) UK Alumni meet was held on 26th September 2009 (Saturday) at Southport, Merseyside.

 

It was a great success with 75 attending the meet.

Venue: Ince Blundell Village Hall, 1, Victoria Road, Ince Blundell, Liverpool, L38 6JE.   CME Programme “Finance -Where to store your treasure?" – Mr. Loxam “Alcohol advertising – Pearls and Perils” – Prof Dilawari “Some Top Developments in Bottom Problems” – Praveen Bandipalayam “Doctors in difficulty” Shiv Chavan “Pilgrimage for a life-long learner” Ajay Sharma

 

A business meeting of the members decided the following The executive would be Prof Dilawari President, Dr. Seema Mehrotra - Vice President, Dr. Shiv Chavan - Secretary and Mr. Prakash Chandra - Treasurer. The website of the alumni would be http://pgimeralumni.com/ - Thanks to Mr. Sam (Vara) Prasad for organising this. Mr. Sam Prasad would continue to be the webmaster. Dr. Shiv Chavan Our new Secretary would host the next PGI UK Alumni meet at Birmingham on 25th September 2010. (It was decided that for the time being at least the alumni meet should be an annual event and preferably to be held on a fixed date - the last Saturday in September)

My thanks once again to all who attended the meet and the others who could not come but sent their good wishes. Lets all now support Dr. Shiv Chavan and make the 2010 meet at Birmingham a grand success. Please make a note of the date in your diary - 25th September 2010.
